BW VS GG MATCH PREDICTION & ANALYSIS

The east west rivalry will be on show as the Bengal Warriors take on the Gujarat Giants. In terms of point totals, the Bengal Warriors are in ninth place and the Giants are in fifth. However, along with their encounter versus Gujarat, the Warriors still have five more matches remaining. Can they muster enough speed on the final lap to pass other teams? With their most recent victory over Dabang Delhi, the Warriors received a much-needed boost. Delhi were defeated by captain Maninder Singh and young raider Nitin Kumar, who both scored Super 10s. The Bengal Warriors can achieve this. But the concern is about their consistency. Gujarat Giants too have been erratic in the recent few of weeks.

They have won just 2 out of their past 5 matches. They overcame the Tamil Thalaiva in their last encounter which was an outstanding performance. by just 3 more league games remaining for them, they need to win each match by a wide margin so that they can qualify for the next round. At least 4 other clubs are waiting to overtake the Giants in the points rankings. Hence this clash will be a DoD for both teams.

TEAMS PREVIEW

Bengal Warriors Preview

Former champions Bengal Warriors are noticing a dip in intensity mid-season. After winning 7 out of their 17 matches, they are situated at the 9th spot in the points table. They still have an outside chance to move into the next round with 5 more league games. This will be the biggest test for the Warriors since their fans are expecting them to make a dramatic return. Bengal defeated Dabang Delhi in their last encounter. This was a strong performance by their raiders as Maninder and Nitin scored a Super 10 each.

Both these raiders had failed earlier in their first encounter with Dabang Delhi which the Bengal Warriors had lost. But retribution was on their mind as the Warriors battled back from a 6 point disadvantage at half-time to score 30 team points in the last 20 minutes. Such was the tenacity of the Bengal Warriors that they inflicted 3 all-outs in the second half to send Dabang Delhi into orbit. The Bengal defense was relentless in the second half as Vaibhav Garje, Akshay Kumar, Jaskeerat and Shubham Shinde trapped precisely.

The Bengal Warriors have the finest defense in the tournament, but they struggle whenever their opponents are able to trap Maninder Singh. This diminishes their raiding efficiency and they either lose the match or settle for a TIE. The Bengal Warriors need to renew themselves. They have the best defender on the circuit in the form of Shubham Shinde.

Gujarat Giants Preview

Covert The Gujarat Giants appear to be quite skilled at stunts. After playing eighteen games, the Giants, led by Captain Fazel Attrachali, are ranked fifth in the standings. The hit-and-run strategy has been used by Gujarat since their opening game. In addition to changing up the game’s tempo, the Giants have surprised their opponents.

However, the Gujarat Giants have shortcomings of their own, particularly in regard to raiding. They have been impacted by this in the past several games. The offensive was led by Raider Sonu in the first few games. Gujarat released Rakesh as their primary raider as soon as he was deciphered. Prateek Dahiya has also been utilized by them in raids. However, the fact that all three have been included in every starting seven indicates that, unlike the Puneri Paltan with their raiders, the Gujarat Giants have failed to give these players appropriate duties.

Even still, Rakesh’s Super 10 in the previous game helped the Gujarat Giants overcome the ferocious Tamil Thalaiva. Rohit Gulia, an all-around player, impressed with both his defensive and raiding contributions. Both defensemen Sombir and Fazel Attrachali scored nine tackle points apiece, demonstrating their peak hunting abilities. Gujarat outscored the Thalaiva by a score of twelve points in the second half as they increased the intensity of their tackles. They will be able to regroup and refuel for the remaining games with this victory.
